Today, i was to be a tour guide for some Japanese Exchange Students. It was actually quite fun in the end. Photos at www.flickr.com/photos/spilod later.
First we meet them in the Golden Landmark Hotel, not bad a place. They looked much more presentable then what was in the photo they sent me, so thats good. Unfortunately for the both of us, they couldnt speak much english. but we could still communicate. Asher's group joined us, and we set off for the Police Heritage Center.
We got lost on the way there, in ended using the japs' map to find the place. how embarassing. We decided to take a group photo outside(take note)the police compound. and they stopped us, and lodged a report against me! wtf! even outside! whats worse, when we went in, they allowed us to take photos. what intense stupidity and logic. oh well. during the little talk session and guide around the center, i really dont think the japs understood anything at all. the speaker thought that they were so stupid, they didnt know what an elevator was. DUDE THEY HAVE THOSE IN JAPAN TOO YOU KNOW.
We went for lunch at the lau pa sat market, where we met up with Seb and Kenneth. Jap boys like to eat Char Guo Tiao, it seems. Some girls bought ice kachang. cool.
After the fruitless talk at the PHC, we went to the Singapore City Gallery. much better. we saw some interesting stuff, and we didnt get lost this time. there was this huge scale model of the Singapore's Central area, too bad my home wasnt included. Some guys got bored and fell asleep on the chairs. After an hour, we were supposed to go to Chinatown, but i decided that was even more boring, so i proposed we go to Buhis junction, near the hotel, for some shopping :D luckily, "shopping" is a word everyone knows and agrees to :D
We let them go off by themselves, and me and asher went strolling around. we found this super cool "DC Superheroes" shop, which sells batman and superman stuff. IT WAS SUPER COOL. asher found this BATMAN BELT. A FREAKING BATMAN BELT. too bad i dont have a pic of it. ITS SUPER COOL LAH. hes gonna wear to school tmr. we bought sebkoh a superman cap. heh heh.
after that, we met up, and went back to the hotel. there were a cool Lotus Elise and Mazda RX-8 Sports cars lying around, so i took a photo of them.
Back at the hotel, we had a goodbye and photo taking session. they gave me a STATUE OF A CAT AS A GIFT. HAHHAHA. I ALREADY TWO REAL CATS. oh well. great day. now im freaking exhausted.
COMPANY OF HEROES AND LEGO STAR WARS 2. HAHAAHAH.
i noticed something, all japs like to put bunny ears EVERYWHERE. lol.
P.S. i know "japs" is derogatory, but i cant be bothered to type out japanese.
