Visited michell's WG today. not a bad bunch of people. lots of AC dudes as well, so that's cool. Watched some sentimental korean flick about a young boy and his grandma. touching.

the most fun part was probably when we formed groups of 3 to play pictionary, and my group won hands down. AC power lawl. we found out that forms of the same word help alot. for example, it wasnt counted when we said "aladdin and his lamp", but aladdin's lamp was correct :s

woke up at 1 pm. not bad.

okay, today, or this morning, was one of the most peculiar new years ever.

first there was watchnight service, but it was super crowded, but i managed to find a seat next to moonie and johnloh. after the (boring) countdown, i went off to find sebkoh at the esplanade, and take photos too.

okay this year, i feel it has been one the best years i've ever lived in my 16 years of existence.

This year, i managed to find something else to occupy my time with, something that i enjoy, besides computer games( which is *not* a waste of time), PHOTOGRAPHY! man, why didnt i start sooner lol. i realized that i could show His glory through my work, and make people laugh and smile when they see how funny (or stupid) they look after i capture them, and i simply like taking photos of flowers :/

and, this year, i have determined my closest friends, those i can rely on, have fun with, and play RAINBOW SIX VEGAS COOPERATIVE WITH.

and also this year, i have experienced something probably not many of you have. not good experience lol. i think some people know what im talking about.

to top it off, i managed (phew) to hit my academic target. and i got my bloody revenge at Core Maths. you bitch.

now for the higlights of 2007, in no particular order,

The year of the Games (and system wars), as Halo3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Metroid Prime 3, Alan Wake, Bioshock, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Crysis, and Command and Conquer 3 shows us why its worth it to be a gamer.

The year of the Xbox 360 and the continuation as its reign as the king of next-gen consoles,

the year of the PC, as Crysis comes and shows us why PC Gaming will never ever die. ever. Nuh uh.

the year of Direct X 10, as Microsoft, nVidia and ATi comes and makes us cry with a level of graphical achievements unheard of.

the year of Comic Book Movies, as movies like Ghost Rider, and SPIDER-MAN 3 brings out the geek in us.

the year of Camera Goodness, as nikon, once again, whips Canon's ass, and proves why it is superior, without ever needing proof. please let me get a AF-S VR 70-200 f/2.8 ):

hmm yesterday/today, we went to clement's house to have some fun. Firstly, it is not exactly easy to get to his isolated, out-of-place, cannot-be-found-on-first try house.

we went for dinner at this nearby prata shop, which serves nice cheese prata. and of all people, we saw Majorie Tan, our lit teacher. like wth? so she came down and asked us whether we were naughty boys and paid for dinner. HAHA.

i tried BF2142, and concluded that it sucks. Personally, I dont like playing a game with "Sudden Death Syndrome"

wow, today i actually won my first online "sudoku too" game. i hope the person-who-is-not-the-victor isnt too angry with me (:

anyway, on to more important things. today i saved "The Spire" in Las Vegas after defusing the micro pulse bomb in it.

It was intense man. i asked Michael and Jung to set up a door breach charge on the main entrance to the casino room with the bomb, while i sneaked to flank and surprise them from the left door. after giving the order, Jung and Michael blew the door down, stunned the terrorists, and ended the pitiful lives with red-hot lead, while I stormed in from the left door and shot one surprised terrorist in the eye. 5 times (: woo!

Then Michael defused the bomb while i crushed the nose of a dead terrorist. But the celebration is short-lived, i just got orders to go to Dante's Casino and clean that place out too. wooo more death!

today is my last night in The Tessarina. aiyoh. 3 years of living here feels so short. maybe because i lived in boarding school longer than i lived here. i dont even know any of my neighbours. except one who lives in another block. but nvmmm.

we're moving back to our old place which my dad didnt sell, called Kismis View. he thinks the value of the tessarina has gone up, so hes gonna sell it and get $$$ (which is actually a good idea). and now that im not staying in boarding school anymore, i get to sleep in a nice comfy bed (okay, the BS does have relatively okay beds. HAHA MERVYN, I LOVE YOURS).

so, today i went over to Eric's house to play some 360. just so happens, he lives in the same condo as me when i was in kindergarten. hmmm. and when i stepped in, i noticed the layout of the apartment was exactly the same as mine all those years ago. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

first we played some Gears of War in glorious component cable quality. fine, it wasnt HD, but still, the blood and guts was rendered so beautifully. shit, it was INTENSE. HAHAHAH DIE LOCUSTS(the name of the species of aliens that you mericlessly, relentlessly slaughter), DIE! COME, COME TASTE YOUR DEATH! MWAHAHAHA MORE BLOOD, MORE BLOOD!!! SATISFY MY BLOOD-LUST!! :) its quite cool to chainsaw those locusts.

after like 2 and a half hours of seeing blood on the TV screen, we decided to move to something abit more quiet: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas. it was quite drastic change of gameplay from GeoW. less blood, less, violence, but oh my, it was some crazy-ass piece of hardcore tacticial fun. yeah, Co-op is the only way to play R6:Vegas. We were shouting orders to each other, "FLANK LEFT LAH. SHIT IM UNDER FIRE. GIVE ME COVERING FIRE. GO GO GO. I CANT SEE, THEY USING SMOKE LAH.", or something to that degree. and also stuff like, "i go up, you go downnSHITT!!! THEY ARE SHOOTING ME. HIDE BEHIND THE PLANT. I MEAN THE CONCRETE WALL. WHAT BUTTON TO RELOAD AH? FORGET IT, I USE PISTOL. FLANK RIGHT! GO GO GO!"

and once, we finished a mission together w/o dying, and gave each other a high five. wooo that was some good tactical expertise. i wanna join the spec ops in NS or something next time. hot DAMN it was fun. PC version coming soon!
